Accessibility statement generator

Prepare a draft in accessible HTML, ready to review and publish. Choose the document you need, fill in what you know and copy the code. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

The generator needs JavaScript

Without JavaScript we cannot generate the draft. You can see the structure of each document on the accessibility statement page.

Which document do you need?

General details

Including https://, for example https://yourshop.es

Compliance status

Select the result of your assessment. The generator does not evaluate your website’s accessibility.

The website is…

Only if every requirement is met

You can only declare “Fully compliant” if every requirement is met, without exceptions, after a full assessment. An automated scan is not enough.

Non-accessible content

Write one item per line.

Which content does not comply and which requirement it fails. For example: “Some images on the blog have no text alternative (requirement 9.1.1.1)”.

Only if you have assessed and documented it. Leave this empty if you are not invoking it.

For example, old office documents or third-party content that you do not control.

The service

What you offer and to whom, in plain language.

The main steps: search, choose, pay, receive, ask for help…

Accessibility measures that your service applies

Only tick the ones you have checked.

One item per line. For example: “The shop map is not accessible; you can ask us for the address by phone”.

For example: “By calling 900 000 000, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00”.

Assessment method

Contact

The body with which a claim can be filed.

A web address, an email address or its electronic office.

For example, the technologies used or an improvement plan. One paragraph per line.

For example, the consumer or accessibility authority of your autonomous community (region).

Generated code

The code updates as you type. Text in square brackets is information that is still missing.

Read only. Use the button to copy it, then paste it into your website.

Before you publish

  • Check every sentence: the draft does not know what your website is like, but you do.
  • Publish the statement on a page of its own and link to it from every page.
  • For a business, include the accessibility information in your general terms and conditions and also offer it orally.
  • Put the next review in your calendar: at least once a year.
  • Ask your legal adviser to review the text before you publish it.

It will be easier with SiteNorma

In SiteNorma, the document is filled in from your compliance matrix: success criteria that are not met, justified exceptions, dates and assessment method. It also keeps every version and reminds you when it is time to review it.
