Free accessibility audit
We analyse one page of your website for free, on desktop and mobile, and give you an automated estimate: how many issues we found, how serious they are and which criteria need a manual review.
Analyse a page
What you get
- Issues found by severity: critical, serious, moderate and minor.
- How many criteria need manual review.
- The issues from desktop and mobile, counted together.
It is an automated estimate
A single page and automated tests only. It gives you a rough idea, but it cannot tell you whether your website complies with the law: automated tests only detect some of the barriers.
How we carry out the analysis
- We open the page with a real browser, as a person would, first on desktop (1366 × 768) and then on a touchscreen mobile (390 × 844).
- We run automated tests based on WCAG 2.2, levels A and AA, with the axe-core rules and our own checks, such as reflow at 320 pixels.
- We use the SiteNorma crawler, which respects your website’s robots.txt file.
- To prevent abuse, your browser solves a small calculation before sending the request (no cookies or third-party services), and we limit the number of free analyses.
What an automated test cannot see
- Whether alternative texts describe the images well.
- Whether the reading and focus order makes sense.
- Whether videos have accurate captions.
- Whether a complete process, such as a purchase, can be finished with a keyboard.
That is what SiteNorma’s guided manual review is for.
Questions about the free audit
Can I analyse any website?
You can analyse any public page. To analyse whole websites, or to analyse them regularly, you will have to verify in SiteNorma that the website is yours or that you have been given permission.
Why only one page?
Because analysing each page with a real browser uses resources. A well-chosen page, such as a product page or your contact page, already shows many problems that are repeated across the whole website.
What do you do with my email?
The result appears on this page, so we do not need it. We only keep your email if you tick the news box, and we only use it to write to you about the product. More details in our privacy policy.
