Fix accessibility barriers from your editor with an agent
SiteNorma’s MCP lets an agent (Cursor, Claude Code or another compatible tool) read your analyses and apply fixes in your website’s local code. It does not write to the live site: you publish the changes.
What MCP is
MCP (Model Context Protocol) bridges SiteNorma and the agent you use in your development environment. The agent looks up the problems found, the fix guides and the detail of each element, and edits the theme or repository you have open in the editor.
The connection uses a personal token that you create in the dashboard (Integrations → MCP). The token acts with your organisation permissions. Do not share it or commit it to the repository; if you lose it, revoke it and create a new one.
Read-only remotely
The agent only reads data from SiteNorma. It does not update issue status, start analyses or change WordPress or the live site. Changes go into local code; publishing and checking them is up to you.
How to use it
Four steps. The detailed instructions and the configuration link are in the dashboard, under Integrations.
- Create a token in Integrations → MCP for Cursor and other agents.
- Connect the agent with the link shown in the dashboard (once only). The agent configures the SiteNorma MCP.
- Open your website’s code in the editor (theme, templates or repository) and ask it to fix SiteNorma’s problems.
- Publish the changes and, in the dashboard, run “Check the fix” or a new analysis.
What the agent can look up
- The websites in your active organisation.
- A website’s analyses and their summary.
- Problems found, with an optional priority filter.
- Page detail: selector, HTML, guide and code suggestions.
Clear limits
- It does not replace follow-up or justified discard in the dashboard.
- It does not deploy to production: you still publish the theme or content as usual.
- An automated analysis only finds part of the barriers; manual review is still needed.
- A fix is only treated as checked when a comparable analysis no longer finds it, or when a person reviews it by hand.
MCP and the inspector with AI
They are two different aids. The dashboard inspector shows each barrier in its screenshot and can suggest a code change that you review. MCP gives that data to the agent in your editor so it can edit local code. In both cases, SiteNorma does not change your live website.
