See each barrier in context and fix it with help from AI

A list of errors is not enough to fix them. The inspector shows you where each problem is, what code causes it and a suggested fix that you decide whether to apply.

The page inspector

  • A screenshot of the page with a box around each affected element, on desktop and mobile.
  • The element’s HTML code and its exact path in the page (XPath), so you can find it in your template.
  • The cookie banner is closed automatically so that it does not cover the content.
  • We keep the screenshots from the last two scans, so you can compare before and after.

AI suggestions

With one click on “Suggest a fix”, the AI suggests how to correct the affected code snippet and explains why. It can also suggest alt text for an image with “Suggest alt text”.

The suggestion is shown as a diff between the current code and the proposed code. It is never applied on its own: you review it, adapt it and bring it into your code.

AI is included in paid plans, subject to fair use.

Example: a button with no name

The basket icon has no text, so a screen reader only announces “button”. It fails success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) and its severity is Critical.

Current code
<button class="carrito">
  <svg viewBox="0 0 24 24">…</svg>
</button>
AI suggestion
<button class="carrito" aria-label="Ver carrito">
  <svg viewBox="0 0 24 24" aria-hidden="true">…</svg>
</button>

The explanation that comes with the suggestion: “Add an accessible name to the button with aria-label and hide the decorative icon from screen readers. If the basket shows the number of items, include it in the name, for example ‘Ver carrito, 2 productos’ (‘View basket, 2 items’)”.

AI with clear limits

We use AI as an assistant, not as an autopilot.

Your HTML is untrusted input

We treat the code of any page as untrusted content. We reject suggestions that add scripts, event handlers or new URLs.

Only what is needed

We send the AI provider the affected snippet of public HTML and the context of the rule. Never your users’ data or passwords. The provider processes that data under a data processing agreement.

You have the final say

Suggested alt text may not describe the image well in its context. Always review it: you are the one who knows the content.

If your organisation needs the processing to take place within the European Union, write to us and we will look into it with you.
